Kuthampully village has a rich tradition of weaving handloom wonders in cotton – an art and a business that the world has applauded. Famed for the renowned Kuthampully Kasavu, these handloom master crafts have re-defined the fashion tastes of people all over the world. The products woven here are noted for their high quality, craftsmanship, elegance and for its durability. To leverage the full potential of this industry, the Kuthampully Handloom Industrial Co-operative Society was established in 1972. Today, the society has more than 814 members and continues to promote and practise this business from their own building in Kuthampully.Â
